Holidays Pictures

These pictures below are taken during my 4 months (jun-sept 2009) Holiday. These pictures are snapped using my Nokia N81 8GB 2megapixel camera which as you can see, resulted in a mediocre quality picture.

The first few pictures are pictures taken during my trip to Solo with my bros. Then, it continue with the picture of me going to Hongkong alone to meet my brother and my-to-be sister in law at Macau. I also put some pictures that was taken when i back at the city of Lion.

This Picture is taken from the solo palace. This vase was a gift from the China Empire to the Solo kingdom at that time. Now, according to the guide, this vase valued at 1billion rupiah each. I am not sure whether we were bluffed or not... :)

Another picture from solo palace, featuring an ancient tree which is very old and said to contain mystical power.

This is the Candi Prambanan. Candi Prambanan was damaged by the Yogyakarta Earthquake and now with the help of Government and local people, the restoration of the candi is taking place.

The next picture belong to Candi Borobudur which is the UNESCO's world heritage site.

A "Stupa" from candi borobudur which contain the statue of a man looks like the statue of Buddha Gotama. According to the myth, those who can hold the hand of the statue inside the stupa and make a wish, will have his/her wish granted

The Bodhi tree. Bodhi tree is a tree under which Siddartha attain allignment and entered the Buddha-hood.

On the road to tawamangu (a waterfall site), Danau sarangan, and a mount ( i kind of forgot the name)

Danau Sarangan / Sarangan Lake

Up at the mount, we found a garden of flower.

a scenery which i though worth documented

That's some of the pictures that were taken during my trip to SOLO.

After Solo, i spent most of my time working with my brother in his newly set up company and sometimes help my parents back at my hometown.

Before i returned back to the city of lion, i was required to go to macau to meet my brother who were having his pre-wedding photoshootout. They asked me to join them because they need me to do something.

As my tickets was booked later, i couldn't get on the same flight as them. So i have to go on my own to Hongkong then took a ferry to Macau.

I didn't know much cantonese. This is my first time going overseas (except to SG) alone and my second time to HK.I think the first time i went to HK is during my primary school. It was a long time ago.

Arriving at the airport at night, i decided to spent the night at the airport cause it's not worthed it to find a hotel at 1 am in the morning while i need to went to macau at 8 am.

Before sleeping, i went online to chat with my family and somebody i care for then, i also find the route to macau.

The next morning, i woke up and i went to clean myself at the toilet. Then i bought i express train ticket to Hongkong, which is the lasted stopped after Kowloon.

Upon arriving, i was looking at a map which i have prepared earlier on. But the map was not helping me. I went out, and tried to find my way as the ferry terminal is just located a few blocks from the train station. I used my intuition and guess my way through the terminal. Finally, i was so happy as i found the terminal.
Here are some of the picture i took in HK.

This picture was taken when i am on train from Airport to Hongkong.

Below is the picture of the ferry terminal to macau.

Arriving at macau, i still need to figure out my way to the hotel where i can meet up with my brother.
I know the hotel is located near a casino, so i asked the person at the bus stop which bus to take. But the bus there is different from singapore. It's a van. I didn't know how to stop the bus. As we go on the bus, i looked around to spot the casino. When i spotted the casino, i didn't know how to call the bus to stop. But with a bit of luck, somebody is flagging the bus. The bus stopped and i went out. After going out, i have difficulties in finding the hotel. I asked a guy there but he didn't know (later, i found out that the people there didn't know the english name of hotels, they just know the mandarin name). So i followed my intuition and guess my way through it again. Luckily, i found out the hotel at my first turn.

I waited here for my brother to arrive.

Below is the picture of Macau tower taken from a taxi.

This picture below is taken from Marina Square during the Singapore F1 Night race week in Singapore.
