Istana Koki

Istana Koki is a recently opened indonesian restaurant which provided different taste of food from all over indonesia. They have maluku, java, and many more. All this really sums up the name as the chef's palace.(english of istana koki)

I ordered the udang bakar madu ( grilled honeyed prawn) and gurami bakar brawijaya (grilled gurami in brawijaya style). For drinks i prefer a more neutralizing drinks such as young coconut.

The special about the young coconut here is everytime when i ordered, the coconut is young and the flesh is very soft while in other similar places sometimes they can give 'old' with a thick and hard flesh.

This place is quite unique because it is one of the few restaurants in Medan that provided free vegetabales and Rojak. ( it is all u can eat and free).

Overall the place was nice but during weekend at lunch or dinner time this place can be very crowded.

Morning Glory Cafe

Featuring today for lunch at our lovely city, Medan, is Morning glory cafe.

The ambience here is very relaxing although the place is quite small. During lunch time this place can be quite packed.

So far the food and drink provided here never fails us. Tried the avocado coffee and fish and chips before. They tasted just right.

Today we ordered roasted chicken with green chilli rice, Creamy seafood fettucinni, Calamary rings, and honeyed rosella tea.

Roasted chicken was good especially with the authentic indonesian hot taste of green chilli. The pasta was al dente, and the sauce was very creamy and rich in flavour.

However the calamary rings today was not really good. It is just like the chef forgot to add a bit of salt.

Overall today visit was satisfying, the total bill is around Rp 162.000,- all in.

Rumah makan adoea merupakan rumah makan yang menyajikan beragam makanan dari nasi goreng, ayam penyet, mie goreng sampai berbagai macam seafood.

Rasa dan tampilan makanannya juga menarik dan saus cabe kecapnya juga maknyuss, cocok untuk di sandingkan dengan aneka sajian seafood.

Ayam goreng cabe hijaunya juga sangat enak untuk di cicipi. Must try.

Mie Pansit Awai

Awai Mie Pansit (wonton noodle) is one of the legendary must try noodle in Medan North Sumatera. Originally opened at Siantar city (located around 120km from Medan). Due to overwhelming demand, the owner decided to opened branches in Medan.

Now the noodle stall has branches at jalan letjend s. Parman, and jalan wahidin.

Mie Kampak

Featuring in this post is local Medan well known noodle, Mie Kampak. Initially open at jalan metal, now the store has opened up branch at Kompleks cemara asri.
